Flexible Work Arrangement: HybridThe Interconnection Planning Projects Department is primarily responsible for the Generator Interconnection Process, the Merchant Transmission Interconnection process, and the assessment of long-term transmission system adequacy and reliability with regard to interconnecting facilities.  The Analyst - Interconnection Planning will support these activities. This is a HYBRID position.Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintains, cultivates and coordinates internal and external relationships with Interconnection Stakeholders.
  • Completes general administrative tasks utilizing the MSOffice suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Assist departmental engineers in support of analytical studies, project tracking and management of financials and related documents.
  • Provides support, including the development of agreements and data requests from the database in support of the engineers and manager of the Interconnection Projects Department.
  • Maintain electronic and paper department and division files and records.
  • Assist in maintaining the Planning web site as an accurate source of information for all related planning activities.
  • Support the interconnection process and any parallel processes including database support, process completed studies and executed contracts.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for new customers that have questions about the interconnection process and refunds.
  • Process incoming New Service Requests and study agreements per the timing required by the OATT.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using division support tools to prepare various documents, such as SAP Check Requests and Purchase Requisitions according to established company procedures.
  • Work with project area team leads to coordinate the New Services Queue schedule between the Interconnection Projects and Interconnection Analysis departments.
  • Consolidates improvements and produces effective change initiatives to the interconnection process and the department's capital support tools such as the Planning Application, Queue Point and NextGen.
  • Maintains an exceptional level of customer focus, ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of PJM’s Interconnection process and the ability to guide prospective customers.
  • Ability to generate reports on interconnection data.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the department’s business practices for capital tool development and feature enhancements.
Characteristics and Qualifications:Required:
  • BS – Business Administration or similar
  • 5+ years of experience performing a similar role
  • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
Preferred:
  • Experience with SAP
  • Detailed knowledge of Excel and data reporting
  • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions 
  • Experience in the Energy industry
  • Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
