Job Description

The Analyst I position can be found in several divisions within the Company. These include but are not limited to: accounting, finance, grower relations, production, systems, purchasing, reliability maintenance, etc.; and independently performs departmental process analysis as needed within their assigned area and expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The following duties are typical of those performed by this job; Analysts I may not necessarily perform all of the duties listed.

Pistachio Inventory Analyst – Available to Sale to Customer

  • Conducts yields plant wide yield and compression density tests.
  • Calculates and establish beginning of year processing yields standards.
  • Explains silo dry weight variance and inventory adjustments.
  • Utilizes inventory change information to update Available to Sale Inventory for customer planning.
  • Communicates weekly yield performance.
  • Participates in all daily and monthly production meetings.
  • Analyzes all quality and yield data to maximize availability of the crop to the customer.
  • Develops with operations a silo selection strategy plan to manage quality delivered to customer.
  • Calculates and monitors silo drawdown for all facilities, to track transition planning
  • Harvest silo monitoring, filling, capacity concerns
  • Monthly financial reports, including Pistachio Rollforward, ATS Summary, Run Takts
  • Monitors plant performance against run takts for various pistachio preprocessing functions

Plant Sales Coordinator

  • Measure capacity and demand changes daily against plan, and weekly/monthly production forecast changes.
  • Compare sales, forecasts, production schedule weekly.
  • Assist Schedulers in problem-solving and executing countermeasures on deviations from plan.
  • Review inventory planning parameters to establish and maintain customer service driven reorder flow.
  • Understand and report on short-term and long-term capacities.

Other responsibilities

  • Preparation of professional presentations.
  • Defines and documents business functions and processes within their assigned department.
  • Researches and prepares statistical reports using data from organization computer systems and internal surveys. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
  • Tasks assigned to this level require an in-depth and broader understanding of problem identification, analysis and resolution.
  • Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents organization business procedures, functions and requirements.
  • Consults with department management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
  • Provides work direction to one or more technical or clerical staff or acts as a team lead on designated projects or assignments.
  • Documents, recommends, and makes process and configuration changes to one or more operating functions or systems.
  • Performs strategic business analysis to support departmental management and/or personnel.
  • Assists in special projects, harvest duties, and any other duty as assigned.


SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Language skills

  • Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to present new concepts and strategies to executive leadership and technical communities.

Mathematical skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, along with computing ratios, and percentages. Knowledge of statistics is desirable.

Reasoning ability

  • Must be able to apply general requirements into action as it applies to the plant. Should be able to work in a team environment to accomplish goals and complete projects.
  • Excellent facilitation and consulting skills are necessary to successfully perform this job.

Computer skills

  • Knowledge in Company network drives, proficiency in using Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Acces, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Oracle, or Google products with adaptability to learn new applications.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Computer Systems, or Agricultural Business and/or acceptable related field.

Pay range: $66,560 - $77,500/yr and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & Experience.

Pay Range

$66,560 - $77,500/yr
