PRIMARY DUTIES
70% Sourcing
30% Transactional & analysis
- Own direct raw material categories for Asia Pacific (China, South East Asia and Australia) with chance to lead global team for certain category
- Track industry trend, FX, policy chance, geopolitical movement to timely adjust sourcing strategies
- Manager Supplier relationship and identify innovation opportunities
- Supplier quality management support such as assessment and audit
- Payment term extension and inventory optimization with SIOP team
- Work with R&D to qualify new source for savings and supply security
- Periodic RFQ to drive competitive price
- Purchasing contract negotiation and rebate volume track if any
- Long term category strategy set up
- System data accuracy such as vendor, material, classification, price, leadtime…
- Sourcing process optimization if any
TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent, with more than 5-year experience in sourcing related function. Chemical industry experience is a plus.
- Fluent oral and written English is a must.
- Demonstrated strong desire and innate capability to learn. Open to change.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with great communication and interpersonal skills
- Team players with can- do inspiration
- Experience working with SAP systems, proficient in Microsoft Office, self-motivated, can independently work with little/no daily direction setting from manager.
