Manufacturing Operations Finance
Ideal Candidate: A detail-oriented finance professional who thrives on managing complex data, executing processes accurately with minimal supervision, and continuously improving reporting and workflow efficiency.
Position Summary
The Finance Analyst supports External Manufacturing Operations by managing complex financial data, ensuring accuracy in core planning and close processes, and delivering structured analysis that supports operational decision-making.
This role requires a strong analytical foundation and the ability to work independently within established processes. The Analyst will take ownership of monthly close activities, variance analysis, forecasting support, and reporting, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve data integrity, streamline workflows, and strengthen financial visibility through automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Close Execution: Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications; ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Variance & Cost Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of cost, spend, and volume variances; investigate root causes; validate data integrity; and quantify financial impact.
- Forecasting & Planning Support: Maintain and improve financial models, support forecasting cycles, and improve forecast accuracy through structured data analysis.
- Reporting & Data Management: Provide support in developing and maintaining recurring reports and dashboards; reconcile data across systems; improve transparency and consistency of financial information.
- Process & Automation Improvement: Identify manual or repetitive processes and implement automation or structural improvements to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide analytical support to operations and finance stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A, manufacturing finance, or related analytical role
- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data structuring); Power BI or similar tools preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Demonstrated proactiveness and ability to work with complex datasets and maintain high accuracy
- Experience improving or automating financial processes is strongly preferred
- Ability to manage recurring deliverables independently with minimal oversight
