The Financial Planning Analyst supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities with strong focus on inventory and cost accounting. The role partners with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, ensure audit-compliant controls, and drive process improvements that support business decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
Perform monthly financial close activities and prepare related financial reports.
Analyze inventory and cost variances across business units, products, and process flows.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
Develop reports and dashboards using data analysis tools to influence business outcomes.
Inventory & Cost Accounting
Perform and implement inventory cycle count controls; monitor results, investigate, and report discrepancies.
Support inventory accounting activities, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
Drive audit-compliant inventory management by implementing effective and well-designed controls.
Support internal and external audit requirements related to inventory cycle counts and cost accounting.
Controls, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal control standards.
Identify inventory risks and recommend corrective actions to strengthen controls.
Collaborate with Finance Audit and business partners to maintain a robust control environment.
Systems, Data & Process Improvement
Support system implementation, integration, and enhancements related to inventory and financial reporting.
Participate in business setup initiatives, including pre-launch coordination with project teams, IT, and business partners on system setup, end-to-end processes, testing, and post-deployment validation.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing financial and inventory processes.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, IT, and Supply Chain.
Partner with global teams and demonstrate flexibility in working hours as required.
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
CPA, Master’s degree, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 2+ years of meaningful experience in inventory and cost accounting.
Experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
Experience in systems implementation or integration is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Exposure to SAP / S4 Hana is preferred.
Proficient in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Comfortable working with large data sets and translating data into actionable insights.
