About the Role:
The GBS Analyst performs accounting and financial reporting activities within the Regional Shared Services Center. This role is responsible for accounting for expenses across North America (NA), Europe, and APAC business lines, preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and supporting compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Responsibilities for the Role:
· Ensure financial reporting is completed accurately and within established deadlines.
· Prepare and complete general ledger account reconciliations with a focus on liability and receivable accounts, ensuring the validity of balances and timely resolution of outstanding items.
· Perform account analyses and variance analyses; identify variances, determine root causes, and document findings and corrective actions as appropriate.
· Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and reporting.
· Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and special projects as assigned.
· Identify and assist in implementing process improvements, automation, and standardization.
· Support internal and external audit requests
Requirements of the Role:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
· 1 to 3 years of accounting and/or finance experience required.
· Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with the ability to apply those principles in a corporate accounting environment.
· Candidacy for Certified Public Accountant is preferred
· Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Financials, is preferred.
· Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, or financial reporting is preferred.
