Responsibilities

PJT Partners' External Intelligence team is adding a resource to support the breadth of its deliverables. The team is responsible for developing PJT's understanding of the external environment, covering competitor strategic actions, market dynamics, and the analyst and investor communities' view of the firm, supporting decision-making across the organization.

This role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-impact, dynamic position with exposure across a broad suite of corporate activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare analyses across market and competitive landscape to identify emerging trends and macroeconomic conditions impacting PJT’s businesses;

  • Maintain materials summarizing peer financials, valuation metrics, acquisitions, and other recent initiatives to help contextualize PJT’s relative positioning;

  • Partner with the Investor Relations function on articulating key investor thematics and insights to management;

  • Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team with peer-related analytics;

  • Assist with various strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, analytical, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other related field;

  • 2+ years of investment banking, equity research or similar analytically-rigorous financial role;

  • Exceptional intellectual curiosity with proven capability to develop a point of view from complex and often ambiguous information;

  • Experience in reading and analyzing complex financial statements;

  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders;

  • High level of competency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Expected annualized base salary of $80,000 to $95,000.

This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.

Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
