This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
About Evergreen Portfolio ManagementThe Evergreen Portfolio Management team manages HarbourVest's product suite of private markets evergreen portfolios. The team actively manages fund liquidity, supports new investment activity, and advises on the launch of new product portfolios. As an Evergreen Portfolio Management Analyst, you will support the portfolio management activities of multi-strategy private markets evergreen funds offered to high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors. The role offers significant exposure to portfolio construction, investment pacing, asset allocation, and capital deployment decisions across HarbourVest's evergreen platform.
The position is closely aligned with HarbourVest's investment platform and requires daily collaboration with investment strategy, primary, secondary, and direct investment teams. The team utilizes advanced portfolio analytics and data-driven decision making to evaluate portfolio construction, monitor portfolio positioning, and inform fund management decisions.

Manage portfolio liquidity, including cash balances, liquidity risk limits, cash investment strategy, credit line utilization, and investable capital across various multi-strategy private markets evergreen portfolios
Own model portfolio and target investment parameters in support of evergreen fund leadership
Analyze the fund’s investment needs related to diversification, tactical strategy allocations, pacing, investment suitability, and investment sizing
Regularly communicate with senior portfolio managers and investment professionals across primary, secondary, and direct investment teams
Support strategic initiatives across the evergreen platform, including new product launches, portfolio construction enhancements, and supporting a rapidly scaling business
Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to support portfolio management, liquidity forecasting, and investment decision making
Produce new content to respond to internal/external questions and fundraising efforts, particularly focused on portfolio investments, investment performance, and fund liquidity
Preference for candidates with investing, transaction execution, or portfolio management experience gained through private equity, venture capital, private credit, investment banking, or related fields
Comfort using and understanding quantitative financial models. Proficiency leveraging AI to achieve efficiency at scale
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – an ability to translate technical investment and fund management concepts into clear and concise messages
Proficiency with AI, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and MicroStrategy
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1-3 years of private equity, investment-related quantitative analysis, evergreen fund investment, or other relevant investment experience preferred
Base Salary Range
$95,000.00 - $105,000.00This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
