The role will play an important part in the organization’s application transformation roadmap, including the adoption and integration of SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Transportation Management Systems, modern ERP capabilities, and future B2B customer facing websites. This includes supporting the rationalization, modernization, and integration of legacy business platforms into a more scalable, secure, and flexible architecture designed to support organic growth, operational efficiency, and acquisition related integration activities.


The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and problem solving skills with a practical understanding of business processes, enterprise systems, integrations, data flows, and application lifecycle management.


Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, this role will support day-to-day application operations, issue investigation, system enhancements, vendor coordination, user adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Enterprise Applications Analyst will also help bridge current-state operational needs with future-state platform strategy, ensuring enterprise applications remain reliable today while positioning the business for a more connected, scalable, and acquisition-ready technology environment.


Key Responsibilities


Enterprise Application Support & Optimization

  • Serve as the primary analyst and support resource for enterprise applications across the current and future application portfolio.

  • Support day-to-day operations for current business platforms, including JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP, and other enterprise applications, while helping position these systems for future modernization or replacement.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, coordinating with business users, internal IT teams, software vendors, and implementation partners as needed.

  • Analyze recurring issues across applications, integrations, workflows, and data flows to recommend scalable long-term solutions that improve stability, performance, and user experience.

  • Maintain system configurations, user access, security roles, support procedures, knowledge base articles, and application documentation in alignment with governance standards.


Application Transformation & Modernization

  • Support the execution of the enterprise application transformation roadmap, including the adoption and integration of SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Transportation Management Systems, modern ERP capabilities, and future B2B customer-facing websites.

  • Assist with the rationalization of legacy and on-premise business platforms by documenting current-state capabilities, business processes, integrations, data dependencies, and system limitations.

  • Support application and process alignment activities related to organic growth, new business needs, and acquisition-related integration efforts.


Enhancements, Application Development & Business Process Improvement

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, validate, and prioritize enhancement requests, application development needs, and process improvement opportunities.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, user stories, test plans, configuration needs, and implementation recommendations.

  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, workflow redesign, application configuration, reporting, integration, or platform capabilities.

  • Develop, configure and support system upgrades, releases, and enhancement projects.

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing, coordinate issue resolution, and confirm that delivered solutions meet business, operational, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Promote process standardization across locations, functions, and acquired businesses while balancing enterprise standards with practical business needs.

  • Support organizational change initiatives related to new applications, SaaS platform deployments, legacy platform modernization, process standardization, and system enhancements.

 

Integration, Data & Platform Governance

  • Support the documentation and analysis of application integrations, data flows, master data dependencies, reporting requirements, and system-to-system handoffs.

  • Work with internal IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners to support reliable data exchange and interoperability across enterprise applications.

  • Maintain accurate application inventory, lifecycle, ownership, configuration, access, and support documentation for assigned systems.

  • Support governance activities related to application lifecycle management, change control, security access, vendor coordination, platform standardization, and process maturity.


Strategic Contribution & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to enterprise application roadmap planning by identifying business needs, system constraints, integration gaps, technical debt, risk areas, and modernization opportunities.

  • Evaluate application capabilities and emerging platform options that support operational efficiency, growth, customer experience, acquisition integration, and long-term scalability

  • Provide recommendations that align immediate operational needs with the organization’s future-state application strategy.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience supporting or developing enterprise applications, business systems, ERP platforms, or related technologies.

  • Experience working directly with software vendors and third-party technology partners.

  • Experience gathering business requirements and supporting system enhancement initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.

  • Understanding change management principles and user adoption practices.

  • Working knowledge of enterprise application integrations and data flows.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting ERP, CRM, TMS, HRIS, or other enterprise business systems.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle concepts.

  • Experience with reporting, dashboards, business intelligence tools, or data analysis.

  • Exposure to application governance, vendor contract management, or software licensing administration.

 

Skills Required
