POSITION OVERVIEW


BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs, supporting the growth of small and medium-sized businesses across Canada. As an Analyst, Document and Data Management, you will be responsible for maintaining data quality and integrity by managing electronic client records, validating financial information, and processing operational requests. Your work contributes directly to the accuracy of client information and supports effective credit and lending operations across the organization. CHALLENGES TO BE MET


  • Review, preview, and index documents submitted by service centre employees before uploading them into Electronic Client Files (ECF), ensuring document quality and accuracy according to established procedures.
  • Process requests for document re-indexation within ECF.
  • Review financial statements and validate the accuracy of financial data entered into BDC systems.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to ensure client information remains current and complete, including status receipt records and account relationship analyses.
  • Prepare and distribute client correspondence related to loan requirements, including financial statement requests and credit-related notices.
  • Complete simple service requests and annual reviews for client files with loan amounts of $350,000 or less.
  • Meet service-level expectations by processing requests accurately and within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with Business Centre employees, colleagues, and internal partners to support consistent policy application and shared business objectives.
  • Stay informed about updates to policies, procedures, processes, credit practices, and regulatory requirements that may affect the role.
  • Support BDC’s commitment to delivering accurate and reliable information that helps Canadian businesses succeed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the financial services or banking sector.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures, particularly commercial lending and credit risk management.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and validating financial data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and business requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint).

Availability to work rotating schedules within operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
