The Debt Capital Markets Analyst works alongside and supports senior members of the DCM team in the origination and execution of fixed income transactions for Australian and New Zealand corporate, financial, and public sector clients. The role involves working closely with senior bankers in developing market strategies, preparing client materials, conducting credit and market analysis, and assisting in deal execution. The DCM Analyst plays a key role in supporting Citi’s capital raising capabilities across a broad range of fixed income products including investment grade bonds, high yield, hybrid instruments, and liability management transactions.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions, including bond issues and liability management exercises.

Assist with the preparation of client pitch books, market updates, case studies, and transaction marketing materials.

Assist with the preparation of client Roadshow marketing materials, investor meeting schedules, logistics and investor feedback summaries

Collaborate and liaise with coverage sector teams, legal, syndicate, compliance, and sales & trading to support transaction execution and marketing.

Conduct analysis and develop trade ideas, pricing recommendations, and debt market funding strategies and execution considerations, tailored to client needs.

Maintain and update internal databases, transaction trackers, and market intelligence resources.

Stay up to date with market trends in local and global debt markets and contribute to the team’s thought leadership by preparing insightful market commentary and creative solutions for clients.

Build relationships with junior-level clients and support early-stage interaction on pitches and deal execution.

Participate in internal risk and compliance procedures to ensure all transactions meet regulatory and Citi policies and standards
Qualifications:

1-2 years of relevant experience in capital markets, corporate finance, or a related financial services role.

Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Knowledge of fixed income products and capital markets fundamentals.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present and convey complex ideas concisely.

Detail-oriented with strong technical skills, including financial modelling and analysis.

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Bloomberg or similar platforms is a plus.

Professional and confident interacting with senior stakeholders and clients.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player and manage competing priorities, in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
