About the role:

MUFG is seeking a Client Implementation Analyst to join their Transaction Banking team in Sydney. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in delivering seamless onboarding and implementation experiences for Corporate and Institutional Banking clients, focusing on Cash Management, Payments, Receivables, Foreign Exchange, Liquidity, and Trade Solutions. You will be the trusted point of contact throughout the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal to deliver tailored solutions that meet each client’s unique requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around guiding corporate clients through the intricate journey of onboarding onto sophisticated Cash Management and Trade Finance platforms. You will orchestrate every detail from initial solution design discussions through technical system setups ensuring that each milestone is met efficiently. Your commitment to providing responsive technical support during critical integration stages ensures that clients transition smoothly into steady state operations cementing your reputation as a dependable partner in their banking journey.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients implementing Transaction Banking solutions across both Cash Management and Trade Finance products, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of client implementation activities including planning, documentation management, system setup, user onboarding, training delivery, transaction testing, monitoring readiness for go-live, and seamless handover to business-as-usual support teams.
  • Engage directly with clients on technical and operational topics such as Host-to-Host connectivity, digital banking channels, trade platforms integration, and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders—Sales, Product Management, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal—to guarantee accurate and timely delivery of client solutions that comply with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor project progress proactively by managing risks, addressing issues or dependencies early on, and maintaining clear communication of expectations with all parties involved.
  • Support the implementation of receivables and payables financing programmes by liaising with clients and internal teams to operationalise Supplier Finance and Buyer-led Payables initiatives.
  • Coordinate integration efforts with third-party platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient service delivery for all supply chain finance activities.
  • Provide comprehensive training to both Buyers and Suppliers on invoice processing systems including election procedures, early payment discounting options, file creation protocols, portal uploads, and platform navigation.
  • Deliver technical support during system integration phases as well as post-go-live stabilisation periods by assisting with eBanking setup, user entitlement management, static data amendments, and basic software configuration tasks.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all implementation activities using trackers and documentation tools while identifying opportunities for process improvement that enhance overall operational efficiency.

  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in Corporate Banking provides essential familiarity with industry practices and client expectations.
  • Prior exposure to Transaction Banking products across both Cash Management (Payments/Receivables/Foreign Exchange/Liquidity) and Trade Finance (Receivables/Payables) is highly preferred for immediate impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or a related qualification is required to ensure
  • foundational knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in documentation management is crucial for successful implementations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration with clients as well as cross-functional internal teams throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
  • Strong organisational abilities allow you to coordinate complex activities such as system setups, user training sessions, transaction testing phases, go-live preparations—and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Technical aptitude in supporting system integrations including eBanking channel setup/user entitlement management/static data amendments/software configuration is vital for troubleshooting during critical project stages.
  • Proven track record of responding promptly to client enquiries in a professional manner fosters trust-based relationships essential for long-term satisfaction.
  • Experience working within regulatory frameworks ensures all implementations adhere strictly to compliance requirements at every step of the process.
  • A proactive approach towards identifying process improvements demonstrates your commitment to enhancing operational efficiency across all facets of client delivery.
