Description:

We will count on you to:

  • Reviews and understands incoming documentation and new claims notifications under the supervision of senior colleagues. Informs the team of any potential problems or contentious claims and seeks guidance when necessary to ensure proper claims processing.
  • Identifies policies or coverage areas affected by incoming low-complexity claims from middle-market or low-complexity clients, seeks validation when needed, and requests clarification to ensure correct protocol is followed.
  • Determines coverage for low-complexity claims of small to medium size and/or for small to medium-sized clients by applying policy knowledge and communicating with underwriters and insurers to assist clients in managing their claims, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Escalates complex claims issues requiring technical expertise to senior colleagues and claims advocates to ensure correct application of claims policies and accurate claims rate calculations.
  • Liaises with advocates and clients to address specific claims-related issues or client service concerns.
  • Communicates with clients, beneficiaries, third parties, or insurers to obtain status updates, respond to information requests, and resolve queries.
  • Generates, validates, and distributes claims reports to maintain accurate records.
  • Facilitates collection from insurers on small claims and tracks payments for common claims settlements to keep orderly records of ongoing work.
