Analyst, Capital Markets Trading & Execution

Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions is looking for a driven Analyst, Capital Markets Trading & Execution to help power our Capital Markets and Lock Desk operations. In this role, you will analyze data, execute lock and pricing activity, coordinate investor delivery, and partner across teams to keep loans moving accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

Position Summary

The Analyst, Capital Markets Trading & Execution plays an important role in driving accurate lock execution, strengthening pipeline visibility, coordinating investor commitments, and delivering reporting insights that support informed business decisions.

Working closely with internal partners and investors, the Analyst will help accelerate pricing, lock, allocation, and delivery activities while supporting compliance with company and investor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain rate locks, extensions, relocks, cancellations, and lock modifications with accuracy and urgency.
  • Review and validate lock requests against company guidelines and investor requirements.
  • Maintain and reconcile lock, commitment, and delivery data within company systems.
  • Collaborate with Production, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, and investors to resolve pricing, delivery, and purchase-related issues.
  • Monitor lock expirations, commitment deadlines, pipeline activity, and investor requirements to keep execution on track.
  • Coordinate investor allocations, loan delivery, and post-purchase follow-up activities.
  • Build and maintain reporting on lock activity, pipeline performance, investor allocations, and loan delivery metrics.
  • Analyze pipeline trends, fallout activity, and operational results to identify insights and support business objectives.
  • Leverage Excel and reporting tools to perform reconciliations, strengthen data analysis, and improve process reporting.
  • Support investor onboarding, refresh documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Deliver responsive, accurate, and service-focused support to internal partners and investors.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • One to three years of experience in mortgage banking, secondary marketing, capital markets, lock desk operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Encompass or a comparable mortgage loan origination system; experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
