The Middleware Administrator plays a critical role in providing operational support for enterprise integration platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Provide end-to-end operational support for the Integration platform, ensuring platform stability, performance, and reliable message processing across environments.
- Perform instance-level operational monitoring and routine maintenance activities, including:
- Filesystem housekeeping and cleanup
- Restarting JVM-based components (e.g. application nodes, application spaces, and integration services)
- Restarting integration runtime and administrative services
- Restarting platform monitoring and agent processes
- Restarting host adapter or connectivity services
- Monitor the Integration platform to ensure operational readiness, platform health, and reliable message flow using enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
- Perform advanced monitoring and maintenance activities, proactively identifying and resolving performance, capacity, and availability issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration platform and integration flow issues independently, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
- Plan and execute software patching, hotfixes, and minor platform upgrades, ensuring appropriate validation and adherence to change and release management processes.
- Manage and validate backup, restore, and recovery processes, including periodic testing and documentation updates.
- Support deployment activities, including deployment validation, rollback coordination, and post-deployment health checks.
- Create and maintain support documentation, including knowledge articles for common issues, standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine and advanced tasks, and runbooks for incident handling and recovery.
- Contribute to system or process improvements.
What you’ll need (Required):
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration (or equivalent/relevant fields)
- 3-5 years of experience in an integration platform support role, preferably supporting TIBCO platforms.
- Hands on knowledge of Linux operating system having clarity on Linux concepts like filesystem management, resource utilization, log analysis.
- Hands-on knowledge of complete BusinessWorks 6 Runtime environment.
- Experience in troubleshooting TIBCO BusinessWorks 6 environment runtime issues on Linux OS.
- Hands-on knowledge of TIBCO Enterprise Message Service, TEA and HAWK.
- Basic understanding of shell scripts.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD using Jenkins and SVN
