What your day-to-day will look like:
- Work with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements for reporting and analytics.
- Design and develop simple/medium complex data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure services.
- Build and maintain simple Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics.
- Perform simple/medium complexity data modelling and transformation using tools like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Databricks.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.
- Document BI processes, data flows, and reporting logic.
- Fix simple bugs under supervision.
- Own and resolve simple issues reported in the application.
What you’ll need to excel:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles.
- Should have good understanding of Power BI and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL.
- Ability to perform a range of mainly straightforward assignments in Azure BI and can analyze/develop medium complex issues/scenarios in the technology.
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure/SSIS ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
It’d be great if you also have:
- Experience with Azure Databricks, and any popular language for advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in BI development.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Microsoft certifications in Azure or Power BI.
