GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  This position will act as an advocate for Brokerage TMS functionality through partnering with branch leaders and IT to develop and implement training and continuing education programs for assigned areas across the Brokerage division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These are the most significant job duties performed; other responsibilities or assignments not specifically mentioned may also be assigned

  • (25%) Act as a product/systems champion across the business for the Brokerage division
    • Act as an advocate for new functionality and system awareness in the branch and during training sessions
    • Spend time one-on-one with employees explaining current and new functionality
  •  (20%) Partner with the branch leaders and IT, develops and designs training programs for assigned areas, both on an individual and group basis.
    • Work with Business Process Managers to build learning analyses, learning objectives from knowledge, skills and attitudes for training and readiness events.
      Interface with team leads to define resource requirements, coordinate assignments and resources, and provide quality reviews.
      Designs, prepares and maintains training and course materials utilizing new and innovative techniques
    • Translate technical requirements and understand internal needs to help frame a solution that meets all expectations
    • Ability to interview technical experts, understand processes and convert technical documents into training materials that clearly and effectively communicate roles and responsibilities and their impact on expected business results.
  • (20%) Act as the subject matter expert for the business
    • Is knowledgeable and fluent with the system’s functionality from an end-users perspective and can effectively communicate to the end-user
    • Share feedback on the system with appropriate resources, whether it is from the end-user’s perspective or in partnership with IT
    • Is knowledgeable of any recent updates and upcoming releases and proactively shares the information with the business
  • (20%) Conducts training for assigned areas
    • Provides remedial training on an “as needed basis” to assure continual competency and effectiveness
    • Coordinates new and changed processes within the department to assure continual competency and effectiveness
    • Schedules training programs and conducts specific training on an individual and group basis
  • (15%) Conducts needs assessments and gap analysis for the development of training programs and cadence of delivery.  
    • Develop, review, and revise dynamic and interactive lesson plans, student outlines, media, practical applications and evaluation material
    • Ensures learning styles are properly captured and training is designed to maximize knowledge gain
    • Conduct quality control and quality assurance review. (i.e. survey target audience at multiple points to determine effectiveness)
  • Analyzes repetitive training and quality problems, making recommendations to the department management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others
  • Incumbents with more experience may be called upon to mentor, train, and guide newer/less experience team members
