The Role
Design and develop ultra-low-noise analog front-end electronics and PCB architectures for navigation-grade IMUs. Select and validate high-resolution ADCs/DACs, manage clock generation, eliminate capacitive crosstalk, collaborate with mechanical and FPGA teams, prototype and characterize hardware using lab equipment, and iteratively reduce noise to meet aerospace navigation requirements.
Summary Generated by Built In

Imagine this. You are designing the electronics that transform microscopic physical phenomena into precise navigation data. As an Analog Electronics Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of a proprietary Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) targeting navigation-grade performance. This is not a conventional electronics role. You will work at the limits of analog design, creating ultra-low-noise circuitry capable of extracting signals measured in nanoamperes while managing complex interactions between sensing and drive electronics. Your work will directly influence the performance, accuracy, and reliability of next-generation aerospace systems.

At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.

What You'll Do
  • Design, simulate, and develop ultra-low-noise analog front-end electronics, including charge-sensitive amplifiers and transimpedance amplifiers optimized for capacitive sensing applications
  • Create advanced PCB architectures focused on shielding, isolation, impedance control, and parasitic capacitance suppression to achieve exceptional signal integrity
  • Develop solutions to eliminate capacitive crosstalk between high-voltage drive circuits and ultra-sensitive sensing channels using techniques such as active guard rings and advanced grounding strategies
  • Select, integrate, and validate high-resolution Analog-to-Digital Converters and high-speed Digital-to-Analog Converters for precision measurement systems
  • Design and implement clock generation and distribution architectures with extremely low drift, jitter, and phase noise characteristics
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, sensor, and FPGA engineers to optimize system-level performance and ensure seamless integration across disciplines
  • Build, test, debug, and characterize prototype hardware using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Analyze system performance, identify noise sources, and continuously improve circuit designs to meet demanding navigation-grade requirements

RequirementsWhat You'll Need
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with strong focus on precision instrumentation and low-noise electronics
  • At least 5 years of experience designing ultra-low-noise and low-signal-level analog electronics
  • Strong understanding of thermal EMF management, leakage currents, grounding strategies, shielding techniques, and precision measurement systems
  • Expertise in multi-layer PCB design and layout with demonstrated experience in impedance control, shielding, and parasitic effect mitigation
  • Deep knowledge of precision operational amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers, low-noise voltage regulators, and high-performance data converters
  • Hands-on experience with SPICE-based simulation tools and analog circuit modeling
  • Strong laboratory debugging and validation skills

Nice to have

  • Experience developing electronics for MEMS sensors, inertial sensors, atomic clocks, or scientific instrumentation
  • Experience working on aerospace, defense, or harsh-environment electronic systems
  • Familiarity with digital communication interfaces such as SPI and parallel buses
  • Understanding of FPGA and microcontroller integration in mixed-signal systems
Who You Are

You are someone who thrives when working at the edge of what is technically possible. You enjoy solving complex physical problems where success depends on attention to detail, deep technical expertise, and relentless curiosity. You are comfortable working across disciplines, collaborating with physicists, mechanical engineers, and FPGA developers to solve challenging system-level problems. When others see noise, drift, and interference as obstacles, you see engineering challenges waiting to be solved. You take ownership of your work, approach problems methodically, and are motivated by building technology that pushes aerospace navigation performance to new levels.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with focus on precision instrumentation and low-noise electronics
