Summary
The primary function of the Logistics Analyst is to support the management of logistics functions across the integrated supply chain. Responsibilities include the monitoring of industry trends, standards, and practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution to create and revise standard operating procedures for all logistics processes. Perform data analyses and devise strategies that create a cost/service value proposition for the organization. Leverage knowledge of logistic operations and suite of logistics tools to effectively manage the end-to-end distribution network. This position may cover different sourcing categories such as can, ingredients, packaging, crowns, glass , reverse Logistics, in all modes of transportation with high level of complexity and responsibility within the supply chain. The role requires leadership skills to manage carriers and logistics service providers as an extension of our organization to deliver the expected results. As part of the Global Logistics Organization, this position plays a critical role in implementing any action to orient operational activities towards the achievement of the supply chain strategies and missions. This is also a key team member to effectively embrace and adopt new technologies, methods and process that support the Digital Business Acceleration (DBA) journey within the logistics space. This includes the collection and input of shipment data, tracking and tracing, inputting changes and updates, communicating with internal customers and strategic partners, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the transportation management system (TMS).
Responsibilities
1 • Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution for $1B logistics budget.
2 • Tracks product flow from origin to delivery via logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipments.
3 • Develop and review logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
4 • Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes. Logistics decision maker and representative on meetings and conferences with carriers and breweries, and the rest of supply chain teams and raw materials suppliers to manage exceptions and/or align relevant operational agreements.
5 • Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, quality, and inventory integrity.
6 • Audit warehouse operations, security, and quality SLA’s.
7 • Perform record/data audit functions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
8 • Manage logistics KPI’s. Management and share information such as summary for the monthly performance report for each category of materials, including transit time accuracy, total shipments Vs exceptions, highlights of the month, shipment plant adherence accuracy and carriers’ track on – time performance indicators and metrics. Assists in the development of continuous process improvement and high-quality service.
9 • Implements solutions to border issues with carriers, customs, and customs brokers
10 • Analyzes executability of the optimized network distribution design and provides feedback of the operational insight. Incidents and exceptions management. Detect operational issues and manage remediation actions to avoid disruptions in our production schedules. Exceptions such as: detentions, deviations, incidents or accidents of units during their transit, damage of materials during transportation, thefts of transportations units, changes in production that my impact the transportation cycles, etc. Tracks accessorial charges for rail car and truck shipments as required.
11 • Participates and contributes to the planning, execution, and tracking of Logistics Financial performance. Delivers process improvements related to logistics inefficacies.
12 • Ensure effective logistics planning and execution and coordination between logistics with a MRP and breweries operations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, fostering seamless operations for all categories requested for production or inventory purposes. Takes a proactive approach to monitoring shipments throughout the network to track on time performance.
13 • Work closely with DBA, IDS and business to deliver on CBI’s logistics digital journey (YMS, WMS, TMS, Ortec, etc.).
14 • Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
15 • Troubleshoots any issues with data flow in TMS/SAP, WMS, YMS, Ortec, or other digital systems and coordinate action plans with technical teams.
16 • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to special projects and supplier / vendor presentations.
