This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
The AML & Screening Quality Assurance Team
The AML & Screening QA Team plays a critical role in safeguarding Adyen by ensuring quality and consistency across Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Monitoring, Customer & Transaction Screening, and Merchant Fraud investigations. Our mission is to identify risks, spot systemic flaws, and provide insights that strengthen our defenses and minimize Adyen’s risk exposure.
Looking ahead, 2026 will be an exciting year for our team as we move beyond solely conducting QA reviews and providing support into becoming a strategic enabler and insights-driven partner. This means positioning QA as a trusted source of subject matter expertise, risk mitigation, and process optimization. We will also drive initiatives such as unifying QA frameworks across Merchant Operations, aligning with Compliance Oversight teams, and embedding efficiency and consistency across the board.
This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on QA execution with strategic impact: empowering stakeholders, improving processes, and helping shape how QA delivers value at scale.
Why is this role unique?
This role gives you the chance to operate at the crossroads of QA execution and strategic transformation. Alongside your core QA responsibilities, you’ll be directly involved in high-impact projects, cross-functional framework unification, and efficiency initiatives.
You’ll also have the opportunity to influence the future of QA at Adyen - from introducing smarter tooling and AI-driven improvements to strengthening QA as a partner that empowers stakeholders rather than just checks work.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants to go beyond standard QA, own impactful initiatives, and help shape how QA is positioned at Adyen for the future.
What you will do
You will perform quality assurance reviews on the assessments from the Global AML & Screening and Merchant Fraud investigation teams in Amsterdam, Madrid, São Paulo, and Bangalore, as well as support other impactful projects. In this role, you will:
- Conduct QA reviews and provide actionable feedback that strengthens the quality and consistency of investigations.
- Deliver ad hoc and targeted training based on QA insights to address recurring deficiencies and empower stakeholders to continuously improve.
- Maintain and enhance QA guidance and documentation materials to ensure clarity, effectiveness and audit/regulatory readiness.
- Analyze QA results to identify trends and root causes, translating findings into insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare reports and present results that drive awareness, improvement, and informed decision-making.
- Act as a trusted sparring partner to 1st and 2nd Line teams by challenging, advising, and enabling continuous improvement.
- Empower stakeholders through process optimization by identifying efficiency blockers and embedding best practices.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will play a key role in maturing the QA framework by optimizing processes, documentation, and tooling. Key initiatives include:
- Addressing identified risk gaps or inconsistencies.
- Unifying QA frameworks across functions.
- Strengthening alignment with 2LoD QA (Compliance Oversight teams).
- Driving innovation through the adoption of new tools and technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance QA impact and efficiency.
Who you are
You are a professional eager to grow into a role that combines hands-on QA execution with opportunities to influence processes, empower stakeholders, and strengthen QA as an enabler.
- At least 2 years of experience in an operational AML, Screening/KYC, or Fraud role.
- Ideally experience with QA topics within an AML environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, systemic flaws, and efficiency gaps. Curious and detail-oriented, able to spot patterns and nuances others may overlook.
- Proactive and improvement-driven, with a track record driving process improvements and collaborating with multiple stakeholders (Compliance, Product...)
- Excellent communicator (English), skilled at providing clear feedback and insights to stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Nice to have: experience with tooling, interest in AI solutions and data analytics, and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL)

What We Do
Adyen (ADYEN:AMS) is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies. By providing end-to-end payments capabilities, data-driven insights, and financial products in a single global solution, Adyen helps businesses achieve their ambitions faster. With offices around the world, Adyen works with the likes of Meta, Uber, H&M, eBay, and Microsoft.
Why Work With Us
At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. We started with payments, at a time when providers offered services based on a patchwork of systems built on outdated infrastructure. Ambition demanded more. So we set off to build a financial technology platform for the modern era, entirely in-house, from the ground up.
