The AML & Screening Quality Assurance Team

The team performs quality assurance on assessments performed by the AML & Screening Investigation teams as well as the Merchant Fraud team. The purpose of this process is to identify incidental and structural deficiencies in our Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Monitoring, Customer & Transaction Screening, and Merchant Fraud investigations in order to minimize Adyen’s risk exposure. 

What you will do

You will perform quality assurance testing on the assessments performed by the AML & Screening and Merchant Fraud investigation teams located in Amsterdam, Madrid, and Sao Paulo. This entails: 

  • Providing feedback to specific investigators or teams on areas of improvement;
  • Providing targeted trainings to address any recurring deficiencies on a group or individual level;
  • Updating existing guidances and/or drafting new guidances;
  • Performing data analytics on QA results and identifying possible trends or patterns and their possible root cause;
  • Preparing reports on our findings and the presentation of these results to the relevant stakeholders; 
  • Acting as a liaison between the 1st Line investigation teams and their 2nd Line counterparts.  

Next to these core tasks, you will also play an instrumental role in further maturing the QA framework within these domains by optimizing processes, documentation, and tooling. Projects and side tasks can include taking ownership of risk gaps or inconsistencies that have been identified in our processes and ensuring that these are resolved, improving upon documentation, and identifying efficiency blockers in the investigation or QA processes, etc.

Who you are

  • Curious and analytically oriented professional with an operational execution focussed approach; 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills (English);
  • Adept at spotting unobvious risks that others may have missed; 
  • Proficient in effectively sharing insights and knowledge with others; 
  • Critical, improvement oriented, and take initiative in suggesting, taking ownership of, and implementing improvements; 
  • Enjoy challenging yourself and you thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in prioritization; 
  • Nice to have: an affinity for data analytics and familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL)
