AML Operations Specialist

Purpose of the Role:

Due to the continued growth of WHG & Moonspin, a new operational role is available within our Legal, Compliance and Risk team. You will be reporting directly to Head of AML Operations, and the focus will be to support and assist in all AML matters.

Responsibilities: 

This role will be supporting the Head of AML Operations in all matters relating to AML, for all jurisdictions, assisting AML team leaders and AML operations team with any queries.

• Monitor alerts for players hitting AML triggers and confirm players receive appropriate interactions.
• Identify players requiring enhanced due diligence.
• Use open sources to create player profiles when necessary.
• Maintain existing player profiles.
• Monitor player accounts where concerns have been identified.
• Reviewing tickets for quality assurance.
• Assist other departments with their concerns around player behaviour.
• Comply with reasonable requests from line manager.
• Monitor and review follow-up cases as per internal procedures.
• Recommend changes and amendments to AML operational activities and procedures.
• Work closely with AML Operations Team Leaders to instill a positive culture within the team.
• Works closely with department colleagues for collaboration and cross training.
• Perform other duties, as assigned by Head of AML Operations and AML Team Leaders.

Requirements: 

• Flexibility to work shifts in a 24/7 environment. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. 

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Google Workspace – Gmail, Google Docs and Google Sheets). 
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize, schedule, and track multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
