Job Description: 

Intel's Foundry Automation group is seeking an experienced AMHS Automation Systems Software Engineer - Government Programs.

This role installs, tests, debugs, sustains, validates, AMHS software to enable specific factory, wafer process, capabilities, solutions, and/or reference platforms for Intel manufactured products. May work across multiple layers of the software stack spanning firmware, drivers, operating systems, database platforms, storage platforms, network/firewall, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, automated material handling systems, and/or applications for mission critical distributed enterprise systems spanning a large number of clients/servers and applications across multiple operating systems, specific technology, product/platform, or Manufacturing segment.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • The preferred candidate will possess a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or STEM based degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with software engineering and/or factory automation support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or STEM based degree.
  • Experience with AMHS controls systems.
  • Experience with Unix and a strong familiarity with VB scripting, data extraction analysis including SQL query, and Log Analyzer.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and use of Model Based Problem Solving, Project Management and Lean Six Sigma methods are preferred.

Note:

The candidate will be supporting a 24 x 7 high availability Automation environment and will be required to be part of an on-call rotation group outside of normal business hours. The candidate may need to flex their scheduled hours occasionally to align with new factory project support

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $128,880.00-245,160.00 USD
