Job Description
Finance & Business Management is seeking a professional based in New York supporting Macro Sales & Marketing organization. Macro consists of Rates, Currency and Emerging Markets, Commodities, Financing and F&O Execution. As an Individual contributor, this requires partnering closely with other business managers regionally and globally across the Macro Sales & Marketing franchise and other functions including but not limited to legal, compliance, client onboarding, controls, planning and analysis, controllers/finance, operations and technology, etc. to define and drive the business agenda.
Sales & Marketing professionals help corporate and institutional clients navigate the breadth of the J.P. Morgan's product offerings across Markets and Investor Services. The Sales teams you support focus on matching the firm's resources to our clients' needs which is done through our traditional sales force organized by product, sector and geography, as well as through our e-Sales professionals.
As a Vice President and Americas Sales and Marketing Business Manager, you will provide support to the business, driving strategic initiatives, business analysis, process improvement, and financial analysis and controls.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute strategic and financial objectives of the Macro Sales Organization
  • Partner with Sales Management, trading, and support functions to drive the front office agenda
  • Provide analytics for business decisions and competitive benchmarking & market analysis
  • Organize and participate in business reviews, town halls, and management presentations
  • Act as a trusted partner to sales organization heads, preparing and communicating business strategy, performance, and priorities
  • Escalate issues and roadblocks
  • Lead and track annual plans, forecasts, and client analysis
  • Drive regular expense reviews and track progress to ensure targets are met
  • Implement business strategies, drive change, and ensure compliance with policies
  • Liaise between Front Office and support groups to manage operations and key initiatives, including planning revenues, headcount, expenses, and investment/productivity initiatives
  • Partner with control organization to identify, assess, and mitigate business risks, manage regulatory changes, support control and compliance enhancements, and lead New Business Initiatives (NBIAs) and Change Management initiative


Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to work with details while maintaining the overall business big picture
  • Ability to identify and implement best-practice operations and solutions
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to work effectively across different countries and regions
  • Ability to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with a high degree of independence
  • High ethical standards and strong control mindset
  • Highly motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strategic with good business acumen and ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Energetic and dynamic in style


Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • 7-10 years' experience preferred in a related business function: Business Management (Sales, Banking or Trading), Middle Office, P&A, Technology or COO functions
  • Undergraduate or MBA preferred
  • Macro product background and knowledge preferred (Rates, Currency and Emerging Markets, Commodities, Financing and F&O Execution)
