Job Description SummaryResponsible for all aspects of accounting and delivering timely, high quality financial statements for the North and South American Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) network of shops within Commercial Engines & Services. Key responsibilities include ensuring technical compliance with US GAAP, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and delivering operational accounting excellence to support the business’ financial planning and analysis needs. The Americas MRO Controller will be the first point of contact for all aspects of accounting related to the Americas MRO network and will have accounting responsibility for commercial Time & Materials transactions, including revenue recognition, as well headquarters responsibilities such as the consolidation of the ATMRO balance sheet.

Roles and Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Lead an Americas-based team of three direct reports covering the full range of Controllership responsibilities across the Americas MRO network, including MRO headquarters. Responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining talent across the team.
- Oversight: Oversee the Controllership teams in each site/legal entity to ensure accurate business financial reporting for both US GAAP and Statutory requirements.
- Expertise: Serve as a technical controllership resource for the Americas MRO business regarding understanding and interpreting applicable US GAAP, GE policies, Enterprise Standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and Process Maps to deliver compliant accounting services for both GE Aerospace consolidated and statutory reporting.
- Process Management: Drive efficient, routine, and compliant close processes that allow for standardization and simplification, as well as high quality of work/life satisfaction for the accounting team.
- Transformation: Integrate controllership oversight and processes into the Americas MRO shops without direct controllership resources. Lead the Controllership aspects of the ongoing ERP transformation journey across the MRO shops in the Americas.
- Collaboration: Maintain a close working relationship with the MRO CFO and the finance team.
- Hands-On Experience: Gain hands-on experience with the business and build team relationships through travel to MRO sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance position
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to deliver results on time

Work Location
