Our AlixAlumni program is a key driver of growth for the firm. We have big ambitions for the future and are seeking an Alumni Engagement Intern to help us build on our success to date.
This is a paid, part-time Internship is in New York, NY reporting to the Employee and Alumni Relations Director and will be approximately 3 to 4 months in length and generally 10-15 hours a week. Paid relocation is not available.
AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model to provide flexibility and support our employees’ work-life integration. The position would be office-based for roughly 50% of your working hours.
What you’ll do
You will gain experience in marketing events, content creation, platform management, and data analysis, and have the opportunity to learn from others in AlixPartners’ Employer Brand Marketing and Communications team.
Your work will change daily, but will include:
- Updating our alumni database to ensure that alumni records are as accurate as possible.
- Creating alumni event materials including event communications, briefings, and nametags.
- Researching alumni to be featured in our alumni spotlight series.
- Sourcing and updating our AlixAlumni online community portal with new content including jobs, alumni spotlights, alumni news, and event information.
- Supporting the employee offboarding process and ensuring that we have accurate information on all departing employees.
- Helping to develop alumni communications including our global newsletters and social media posts.
- Monitoring a critical metric reporting suite and supporting the generation of monthly KPI reports.

What you’ll need
- Pursuing, or recently earned, an undergraduate degree in an applicable field of study.
- Interest in alumni relations, marketing/communications, event management, community marketing, or a related field.
- Ambitious and collaborative teammate who can multi‐task in a high-performing environment.
- Analytical and capable of managing related reports and metrics.
- Attention to detail in order to plan, track, and measure the smooth and timely delivery of projects.
- Interest and/or experience in CRM systems, including databases and event management tools.
- Proactive, self-starter with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work part-time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $20/hr. - $23/hr.
