As “Global Product Owner (Vice President)” within our “Global Alternative Investment Specialist (GAIS) product team, you will be responsible for setting and improving our organizational objectives, and ensuring their consistent accomplishment.
Job Responsibilities- Define product vision, end-state target operating model, and roadmap aligned to client/advisor needs and GAIS-wide goals.
- Assess current-state offerings, regional differences, and improvement opportunities to simplify and scale the Alternatives target model.
- Evaluate business cases and cost-benefit trade-offs, including build vs. buy decisions.
- Establish and lead cross-LOB governance cabinets to set strategic direction, prioritization, and durable accountability.
- Conduct market mapping and research across teams to inform due diligence and structuring decisions.
- Champion fintech and AI-enabled solutions for sourcing and managing reference data across the Alternatives value chain.
- Lead annual and quarterly investment plans, milestone delivery, variance reporting, and risk mitigation.
- Coach product managers, design, and technology partners across the product lifecycle (assessment, feedback, prioritization, delivery, and communication).
- Deliver enhancements using agile practices, including backlog refinement, quarterly planning, sprint planning, and showcases.
- Market capabilities to stakeholders to drive adoption, including learning/training materials and communications via existing channels.
- Ensure comprehensive product documentation and adherence to firmwide governance throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Bring at least 12 years of experience in asset/wealth management, alternatives, product management, or related fields.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of alternative investment products, portfolio management, and fund-of-funds structures.
- Build and operate data products across the lifecycle (roadmap, delivery, adoption, and ongoing support).
- Apply strong data governance, metadata/lineage practices, data quality management, and operational control frameworks.
- Partner effectively with technology and data teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Due Diligence, and Structuring.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to varied audiences, including senior leaders.
- Lead change by convening decision-makers, resolving competing priorities, and aligning groups on a single solution.
- Incorporate regulatory and risk considerations relevant to portfolio management.
- Bring experience with private markets, hedge funds, real assets, or other alternative investment strategies.
- Leverage familiarity with portfolio management platforms, data analytics, and digital client solutions.
