Role Summary
T. Rowe Price, and its affiliates, has more than 8,000 associates and over $1.8 trillion in assets under management globally. This role will support the Alternatives & US Intermediary business, consisting of Wealth Management and Retirement accounts and representing over $800B in AUM. The Wealth Management distribution group strives to build strong long-term relationships through outstanding customer service and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to our diverse client base which include Broker/Dealers, RIA, Banks, TAMP’s, and Intermediary Platform providers throughout the United States.
T. Rowe Price is seeking to recruit an Alternative Investments Client Engagement Manager to support the Head of Alternative Investments Strategic Accounts and Alternative Investments Strategic Account Managers. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand and deepen TRP’s significant presence in the advisor-sold market by expanding our relationships within highly complex national accounts into the alternative space.
Responsibilities
- This position is part of the U.S. Intermediaries Alternatives business and reports to the Head of Alternative Investments Strategic Accounts.
- Support the development and execution of strategic relationships with key wealth management firms, partnering directly with Alternative Investment Strategic Account Managers and collaborating closely with Alternatives leadership, National Account Managers, investment teams, and other partners across T. Rowe Price.
- Partner with traditional USI National Account Managers to develop and execute strategic account plans, with a focus on expanding T. Rowe Price’s alternative investment presence across key wealth platforms.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client priorities, platform initiatives, product needs, key decision makers, and relationship activity occurring across the firm.
- Manage client and prospect initiatives from initial planning through execution and follow-up, including due diligence calls, onsite meetings, investment presentations, and select offsite engagements.
- Coordinate T. Rowe Price subject matter experts and internal partners to ensure successful client meetings, consistent messaging, and alignment around key client initiatives.
- Track and analyze client activity, assets, flows, platform progress, and other key relationship metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and areas of focus.
- Partner across the enterprise to address client needs, resolve issues, and coordinate strategic initiatives involving product, investments, marketing, legal, operations, and distribution.
- Develop deep expertise across the wealth management and alternatives landscape, including key firms, decision makers, platform structures, product approval processes, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
- Stay current on developments across private credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and the broader private markets landscape, attending relevant industry conferences and client events as appropriate.
- Travel as necessary and in accordance with T. Rowe Price policy.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience working with National Account Relationships or Sales professionals
- College degree required and advanced degree or designation preferred (e.g. CFA, CAIA, CIMA)
- Experience with the U.S. investment distribution landscape including Broker/Dealers, Registered Investments Advisors, Banks, and Retail Platforms
- Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills
- Series 7 & 66 required; must obtain within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
- Alternatives Investments experience
- Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal, and delivering presentations
- Significant travel required

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
