As a Team Leader in our Private Equity and Real Estate Services Fund Administration team, you will be responsible for administering private equity funds and other alternative investment vehicles, including preparing & reviewing financial statements and reports and providing support for investor relations activities. You will be responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliation, calculating fees, preparing financial statements and investor reports, and process improvements.
You should be comfortable working with computers and have an aptitude for learning new software and systems quickly.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting functions, Book and review journal entries into Accounting application, Reconcile accounts
- Prepare and review fund level financial statements including the consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of partners' capital, schedule of investments, footnotes to financial statements and cash flows
- Prepare and review investor capital calls, distributions notices
- Understand fund agreements in order to determine impact on reporting
- Review the work of team members and provide feedback for improvement in order to ensure timely delivery of quality output
- Proactively anticipate, communicate and escalate issues to Manager in a timely manner
- Work on special and ad hoc projects for internal initiatives & external clients
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting / ICWA / CA / MBA / CPA
- 2 - 4 years of accounting experience, preferably private equity or hedge fund accounting
- High level of proficiency in Excel
- Attention to detail, Innovative and analytical thinking with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player instincts with the ability to see a project to conclusion with little follow-up
- Superb sense of client service with ability to appropriately exercise professional skepticism and judgment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with various private equity legal and investment structures
- Familiarity with various waterfall models
- Experience using partnership accounting applications (e.g., Investran)
