AltaGas - Senior Analyst, Organizational Design & Workforce Strategy

AltaGas is advancing how it designs and enables its organization to support growth, transformation, and long‑term value creation across its Midstream, Utilities, and Corporate Services businesses. As part of this evolution, AltaGas has established an Organization & Workforce Strategy team within Corporate HR to support enterprise‑wide organizational design, operating model, and workforce strategy initiatives. We are seeking an experienced Analyst to join this team and provide high‑quality analytical, research, and presentation support to complex, senior‑level work. This role is well‑suited for an analytical professional who values structured problem‑solving, rigorous analysis, and producing clear, executive‑ready insights, and who is comfortable operating in complex, confidential, and fast‑moving enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support organizational design and workforce strategy initiatives, including spans‑and‑layers analysis, workforce modeling, scenario analysis, and benchmarking

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders to frame questions, test assumptions, and refine analytical outputs

  • Support confidential organizational design initiatives, role definition, and workforce transformation, with professionalism and discretion

  • Build executive‑ready PowerPoint presentations that translate complex analysis into clear, concise narratives and recommendations

  • Develop and maintain analytical models in Excel and Power BI to support workforce, capacity, and organizational decisions

  • Research organizational design trends, workforce planning practices, and emerging technologies, including the impact of AI on roles and ways of working

  • Support leadership workshops through analysis, pre‑read development, synthesis of outputs, and action tracking

  • Contribute to implementation and change planning through content development, identifying stakeholder impacts, and risk identification

  • Manage project documentation, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–5 years of experience in management consulting, analytics, strategy, HR, Finance, or related roles

  • Advanced analytical and structured thinking capabilities, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; adept at utilizing AI tools and emerging technologies; Power BI experience an asset

  • Ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear, executive‑ready insights and presentations

  • Comfort working in ambiguous environments, with the ability to iterate based on feedback and evolving context

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through

  • Professional judgment and discretion when working on sensitive or confidential initiatives

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt style for technical, non‑technical, and executive audiences

  • Bachelor’s degree required; business, finance, economics, analytics, or related disciplines preferred
