Job Description

AltaGas - Lead, Digital Business Solutions (Midstream Solutions)

AltaGas is seeking a Lead, Digital Business Solutions (Midstream Solutions) to serve as a trusted advisor and digital business partner to our Midstream organization. In this role, you will manage sustainment services, oversee demand and delivery processes, and ensure our digital ecosystem supports the evolving needs of our business. You will guide and mature digital capabilities, drive value from our application management service (AMS) partners, and lead with a focus on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As the Digital Lead, you are responsible for the end‑to‑end health and performance of Midstream IT applications. You will oversee application sustainment and support, champion ITIL process excellence, and translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions. This role is instrumental in stabilizing our application environment, evolving digital capabilities, and strengthening our modern delivery methodologies.

You will:

  • Act as a visible champion of our values while engaging with customers and teams to achieve meaningful results.
  • Lead the “run” component of our digital delivery model—ensuring a reliable, stable application landscape that supports day‑to‑day business operations.
  • Oversee application sustainment, testing, incident management, issue resolution, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Build processes to identify, manage, and mitigate digital risks across the application portfolio.
  • Coordinate delivery of digital services with outsourcing partners; monitor SLAs, service quality, and performance.
  • Manage and prioritize business needs, maintain product backlogs, and provide clear visibility into sustainment demand and value delivery.
  • Serve as the technical design authority for applications within your portfolio, ensuring alignment with architecture, integration, and configuration standards.
  • Partner with Digital Architecture and Program Delivery teams to support new project delivery and seamless transition to sustainment.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies, solutions, and approaches for Midstream applications.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field with 3+ years of supervisory experience leading application sustainment teams.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, integrations, middleware, and data flows.
  • Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, and KPI/service reporting; ITIL v3/v4 preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead technical workstreams, manage upgrades/migrations, and guide technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI, Schlumberger Avocet, and/or Quorum TIPS (3–5 years preferred).
  • Experience managing outsourcing partners, contracts, SLAs, and service delivery performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in Agile/SCRUM/DevOps environments.
