Alpha Technical QA Manager

Who we are looking for

This is a hands-on QA Manager/Lead position on the Alpha and Middle Office Technology Team. We are seeking a senior resource with 12+ years of experience who has Front and Middle Office domain expertise. The candidate is someone with a proven record of driving QA improvement through automation and innovation, who is a hands on contributor in the analysis, design, development utilizing QA tools and onboarding of new QA tools. The candidate must be active in driving the successful execution of the project. The candidate must have demonstrated success in delivering business solutions in a public and hybrid cloud environment. The candidate will work directly with senior business and IT leaders and must be able to work with minimal management guidance. The candidate must be creative and self-motivated to deliver on mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities.

What you will be responsible for

As a Senior QA Manager you will

• Have day-to-day management oversight of the software testing staff as well as all the testing actives and output.
• Work with the product and operational teams and Software Development team to understand project scope and identify testing requirements
• Develop and maintain the test strategy, testing scenarios, test automation processes in alignment with the project and the organization’s standards (i.e., governance, processes and tools). Develop and maintain automation plans, frameworks, scripts, and metrics for functional, integration and regression testing. Run test suits and analyze results. Collect and effectively communicate test execution metrics
• Demonstrate Automation and Innovation Leadership
• Ensure Release Management Process is executed per standards
• Drive SDLC and testing process standardization in collaboration with multiple agile teams.
• Mentor and driving collaboration across teams
• Provide defect management oversight via timely defect reporting and tracking through defect-life-cycle
• Participate in daily stand-up, iteration planning, product demos and retrospective meetings
• Own the setup of automated and manual testing environments
• Ensure constant improvement in QA process

• Experience testing in a Cloud native environment
• Expertise in event driven architectures, messaging and Kafka.
• Experience working with product and business teams for middle office applications
• Ability to work in an on-shore/off-shore model working with development teams across continents
• Proven track-record for high quality output delivery and works effectively in agile team environment
• Brings a high level of energy with enthusiasm to generate excitement and motivate the team
• Solid technical background, expertise in the software development lifecycle, expertise in functional and automation testing.
• Ability to dive in and troubleshoot application and data issues

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• 15+ years of QA Lead/Manager experience
• Experience in financial industry working on Front, Middle, Back Office functions. Experience with Cash Management and Investment Book of Record is preferred.
• 5+ years of automation testing experience
• Experience in automated testing, code repository and deployment tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Junit, Mockito, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, etc.
• Code coverage, code quality and code security verification.
• Testing in on premise Java and Unix based environments as well as Cloud Native environments
• Experience testing Event Driven Architectures and Message based systems
• Experience leading agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required
• Work closely with the business & IT stake holders to manage delivery

Salary Range:

$115,000 - $190,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
