State Street Alpha Data Services is the data‑as‑a‑service backbone of the Alpha front‑to‑back strategy, delivering business‑ready investment data across the investment lifecycle.
We are looking for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join us, focused on data analysis, solution alignment, and implementation execution across Alpha Data Platform (ADP) and Alpha Data Services (ADS) engagements. This is a hands‑on role working closely with senior delivery resources, product teams, and technology partners.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to ADS / ADP client engagements through data discovery, requirements gathering, and delivery objective definition
- Drive solution alignment activities, including data mapping and clarifying source‑to‑target data flows
- Coordinate with implementation leads and project managers to align delivery plans, milestones, and dependencies
- Partner with broader State Street applications and systems to deliver solutions that meet client data requirements
- Execute testing activities, including data validation, issue investigation, and defect triage
- Collaborate with product, engineering, cloud operations, data operations, and external vendors to deliver agreed outcomes
- Produce inputs for status reporting, risk management, and issue tracking
- Help evolve and institutionalize standard delivery processes and documentation
What we’re looking for
- Excellent communication skills across internal and client-facing channels.
- Experience in designing and implementing relational data models for a variety of data sets which include audit, time series, complex relationships, and high-volume
- Experience working with data solutions across the investment lifecycle
- Good understanding of core investment data domains such as security master, reference data, positions, transactions, performance, benchmarks, and analytics
- Experience supporting data implementations, migrations, or platform onboarding initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on data quality and issue resolution
- Experience in business analysis or delivery support roles
- Proficiency in SQL
- Hands-on experience with ETL, Snowflake, Data Quality rules, Data-Readiness design and implementation of data platforms
- Comfortable working in a global, dynamic environment
- Experience with back‑office data and operating models is a strong advantage
Qualifications
- University degree in relevant technical or financial discipline
- 8–10+ years of experience in financial services data, data delivery, or investment operations
