An IT Specialist with 2-4 years of work experience and he/she is a craftsman/craftswoman who works based on the working methods and results which have been largely prescribed by the profession, general practices and procedures. A proactive person who is eager to learn new tools, scripting to automate manual process and who understands consequences of own actions well and takes these into consideration to anticipate problems.
The ICT Platform Technology Solutions – DevTools team consists of 7 highly skilled professionals with different nationalities, age group and expertise. ICT PTS is abbreviated as Information Communication Technology Platform Technology Solutions is responsible for all the applications used within Vanderlande. Applications used are the Atlassian tool suite (ALM), Rational DOORS, Enterprise Architect and Enovia 3DEXPERIENCE (PLM).
Because of growth in the number of users and requests from internal stakeholders, we are looking for an IT specialist who holds a Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Computer Science/Technology to join the DevTools team.
Primary Responsibility
- Handling incoming questions / issues from the end-users on ALM Applications.
- Translate user questions / suggestions / issues into structural improvement requests / requirements.
- Managing the user/access administration of the ALM Applications.
- Ensuring that SLA agreements are met and communicates clearly.
- Resolve customer issues involving troubleshooting, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis.
- Supporting senior colleagues within the team on other topics.
- Create and curate internal and external knowledge-base documentation.
- Restoring the services/ applications during disruptions.
- Be responsible for resolving customer configuration issues and responding to customer questions.
Technical/ Interpersonal Skills
For the execution of these tasks, you need to have the following traits:
- Strong team-player.
- Eager to learn new skills and grow within the team and organization.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JDK.
- Basic understanding of operating systems, databases, networking concepts
- Higher vocational degree/bachelor in a relevant field.
- Strong communication skills in English - both verbal and written.
- Experience with Atlassian tools is appreciated (not mandatory)
- Basic understanding of servers – Linux(added advantage).
- Problem solving skills.
