The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. This role involves driving the company’s financial strategy, providing key financial insights to senior leadership, and ensuring efficient management of resources. The Finance Manager will also develop processes to support financial decision-making, risk management, and the company's overall growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across various business units.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations based on budget variances.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews with an emphasis on cost control and financial optimization.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to create long-term financial strategies to support company growth and objectives.

Reporting:

  • Prepare financial statements, variance reports, and key metrics for executive leadership.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Work closely with operational leaders to understand their reporting needs and develop plans to provide information and drive results within the business.

Cost Management and Efficiency:

  • Monitor and manage company expenses, identifying areas for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Conduct activity-based costing analysis to optimize the use of company resources.
  • Work closely with business units to track and analyze the cost of ownership for various projects and initiatives.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales) to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between the finance department and other key departments to facilitate communication and collaboration.

Strategic Planning:

  • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Develop and track key financial metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process, including evaluating new business opportunities and market expansions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA is preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
    • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
    • Proven experience in cost management, activity-based costing, and financial process improvement.
    • Proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial modeling tools).
    • Advanced Microsoft excel skills.
    • Familiarity with GAAP and other accounting principles.
    • Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and performance tracking systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and develop team members.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
