Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all-source analysis using intelligence from multiple sources to assess, forecast, and explain regional and functional national security issues, with a focus on North Korea.
  • Produce intelligence products on North Korea’s military, political leadership, strategic doctrine, national military strategy, regional relations, and security issues.
  • Draft and author intelligence assessments, studies, publications, briefings, and Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs).
  • Provide analytic support to collections, operations, and investigations in alignment with defense intelligence requirements.
  • Track, coordinate, and manage intelligence production requirements to meet mission needs.
  • Maintain and manipulate intelligence databases, shared directories, and data formats to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
  • Translate and conduct quality reviews of documents between Korean and English as required.
  • Utilize intelligence systems and tools including COLISEUM, MIDB, MARS, CHROME, HOTR, CRATE, and multi-intelligence analysis/mapping applications.
  • Collaborate with INDOPACOM, DIA HQ, and Intelligence Community partners to synchronize all-source North Korean Order of Battle (OOB) production.
  • Serve as US Alliance Database (ADB) point of contact with the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of National Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and component commands to ensure collaboration and data synchronization with MIDB.
  • Facilitate data entry and retrieval in ADB/MIDB to address deficiencies, maintain database integrity, and support coordinated prioritization of intelligence efforts.
  • Identify and correct data gaps, inconsistencies, or corruptions to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of OOB data.
  • Ensure proper ingestion and display of ADB information in Common Operating Pictures (COP) for accurate targeting, database nominations, symbology, and infrastructure status.
  • Provide recommendations to update or develop ADB SOPs, standards, and reference materials.
  • Train USFK J2 and component analysts on ADB functionality, processes, and DIA OOB production requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or master's degrees with 4-6 years of experience, or, specialized training & 4-8 years-experience, or, equivalent academic experience.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate oversight.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive and completed products that may require multiple minor revisions and/or editing.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using MIDB and/or Cornerstone is highly desired
Security Clearance:
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly
