Analysts will support Object-Based Intelligence (OBI) production efforts. Analysts will contribute to the development and refinement of ontologies that feed into the Defense Intelligence Core Ontology (DICO), enabling structured, interoperable, and automated intelligence workflows. This role requires a blend of traditional analytic tradecraft with modern data science, spatial-temporal reasoning, and structured methodologies to support mission-critical insights.
Responsibilities: A day in the life/What the position will be doing:
- Provide all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.
- Perform network analysis to map and understand complex threat networks.
- Support the identification of key nodes, relationships, and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct all-source analysis using multi-domain intelligence to assess and forecast regional or functional national security issues.
- Develop and apply ontologies to structure intelligence data in support of OBI production and semantic interoperability.
- Integrate structured analytic methods that comply with IC tradecraft standards (e.g., ICD 203) and document analytic workflows to support automation and repeatability.
- Perform spatial and temporal analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies across geospatial and time-series data.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to apply machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical techniques to intelligence problems.
