Purpose of Role
The eFX business is responsible for all pricing, distribution and auto risk management of ecommerce FX business in Markets. It specialises in operating a low latency platform ensuring high resiliency for all clients 24 hours a day. The business is operating at record levels regularly trading in excess of 50k tickets per day. It covers G10, deliverable EM pairs and also NDF’s.
What does this role holder do?
Understand the risk being run by the eFX portfolio and all associated pricing and risk management strategies
Ensure pricing is competitive and focussed on key clients
Support and maintain a robust risk control environment
Manage all day to day risks efficiently and in well controlled manner, from the automated market making business
Highlight day to day issues to Support, Technology and Quant Trading in order be remediated and ultimately for product improvement
Effectively manage Liquidity Provider relationships
Collaborate with global sales teams to drive forward the client agenda helping to produce relevant MI, actions and product improvement. Focus on delivering the Client Strategy
Assist in the creation of innovative trading products as well as new pricing, execution or hedging techniques
Be able to provide in depth analysis and build suitable reports of the business through use of internal tools e.g. Goldmine, KDB
Ensure that activities are within risk management policies covering market, operational, credit and regulatory risks
Escalate any breaches, risks or weaknesses in line with policy
Ensure portfolio is compliant with dealing authorities, positions and risk limits and RBS’
Work with eFX technology and technical leads to achieve desired business outcomes
Ensure we operate a well-controlled business and deliver all regulatory requirements specific to an eFX business
What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?
The successful candidates will be required to establish close working relationships globally across the Currencies Trading and Sales business lines and maintain similar relationship with our business partners in middle and back office.
Skills Required
Experience and understanding of eFX products and associated systems
Experience of FX Analytics
Understanding of full life cycle of eFX products e.g. Client execution through to market interaction
FX technology experience preferable
Understanding of trading and hedging strategies along with specific market idiosyncrasies
Demonstrable and thorough understanding of the Regulatory environment affecting the FX trading business
Experience utilizing Python for data analysis, research, or model development
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location.
