Job Description – Algorithms Engineer
Frontline is an established leader in the field of CAM software for PCB manufacturing.
We are looking for an experienced Algorithms Engineer to join our Algorithms team.
The role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of mathematical infrastructures and algorithmic applications that power Frontline's products.
Responsibilities include developing production-grade algorithms, optimizing complex computational processes, and integrating solutions into large-scale commercial software systems.
To succeed in this role, you need strong software engineering skills, solid algorithmic thinking, and the ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into robust and maintainable products.
Your ultimate goal will be to design and build high-performance algorithmic solutions that seamlessly integrate into Frontline's CAM products.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement algorithmic solutions according to product requirements.
- Take full ownership of the development cycle, from concept and design through implementation, testing, and integration into production systems.
- Develop and maintain mathematical and computational geometry infrastructures used across Frontline products.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize algorithms for scalability, memory consumption, and execution time.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers, and domain experts to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
- Investigate and evaluate new algorithms, techniques, and technologies relevant to Frontline products.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex product issues.
- Work as a team member for optimal achievement of project goals.
- Attain a high degree of knowledge in the domain of PCB manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or higher is a plus.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in algorithm development within a software product company.
- Strong experience designing and implementing algorithms from concept through production deployment.
- At least 5 years of experience in C/C++ development.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with large-scale software systems and code bases.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Good written and verbal English.

- Experience with parallel computing, multicore optimization, and performance-critical applications.
