The Product Manager position will be managing an Alfa Laval product line, including product marketing, innovation and serving customer needs to identify expectations to meet air cooler requirements.

About the Position:

In this role, the main mission will be to proactively drive the product lines of Air welded heat exchangers by analyzing markets and customers’ needs. This position will support an international team to guide the sales and profitability globally, defining future solutions and product gaps in line with our strategy, drive the R&D department to develop innovative global solutions, and promote the product range through the sales network, to include the following: 

  • Become the expert on the products in the range

  • Acquire strong knowledge on applications and customers

  • Build a vision and roadmap on defined perimeter

  • Manage the product life cycle & define the product range

  • Follow-up product development with R&D team and secure that the deliverables match the master specifications set and the customer needs

  • Develop and deploy efficiently launch packages of new products

  • Support transverse marketing activities on your perimeter (training of salesforce, acquisition, communication, etc.)

  • Marketing activities/Sales support to sales companies both through global initiatives and local activities on regular basis

  • Joint visits of customers with the sales force

  • Measure and develop the customer share that we currently enjoy

  • Works with customers to educate and develop their staff to be more knowledgeable about the product. 

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, etc.

  • Assists Manager with other tasks as needed.

  • Follows all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively.

  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.

  • Conducts themselves in a considerate, professional, cooperative and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors and visitors.

What you know:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering preferred with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment with heat exchangers or heat transfer equipment. Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger experience preferred, to include:

  • Detailed-oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to speak with coworkers and customers on a regular basis.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and operations.

  • Product Specification

  • Product Marketing – customer understanding and expectations; i.e voice of customer

  • Creativity and Innovation in new products

  • Proficient with Microsoft Programs, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI

  • International & domestic travel required to support business initiatives and customer needs – approximately 25%

Physical Requirements: Office environment with minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management. 

Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure).
