Job Description:
AI & Writing Specialist
Franklin, TN
On-site
The AI & Writing Specialist is a strategic enablement partner dedicated to driving the adoption and operational maturity of AI-assisted content. This supporting role focuses on building team capability, establishing collaborative prompt playbooks, and guiding content creators across seven portfolio brands to confidently produce high-quality, on-brand, and compliant AI-generated content.
This associate will own the discipline of using AI tools to produce, accelerate, and elevate written content across the marketing function — and just as importantly, the editorial discipline that makes AI-assisted writing actually good.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years in writing, editorial, content strategy, or copywriting; brand-side, agency-side, or publisher-side experience valuable
Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Jasper, Writer, or comparable) at production level — not just experimentation
Track record of writing or editing at brand-publication quality across formats and channels
Experience translating brand voice into structured guidelines that other writers (human or AI) can follow
Demonstrated editorial judgment — able to identify what's wrong with AI-generated copy and elevate it to a shipping standard
Experience designing and refining prompts at scale, not just using AI tools tactically
Project management & ownership experience with complex stakeholder lists and demonstrated ability to influence without authority
CPG or comparable multi-brand experience valuable for the voice-translation discipline this role requires
What would be your key responsibilities?
Production & Project Management:
Coordinates content development, enhancement for readability & authority, and adaptation across channels with internal and external teams for our portfolio of seven brands. This includes sourcing raw materials from technical experts, coordinating internal & external parters for content completion, and maintaining deployment calendars.
AI Writing Practice & Editorial Standards
Owns the practice of AI-assisted writing across the function: voice and tone calibration, model selection, quality standards, and the workflows that make AI-assisted writing reliable.
Establishes the editorial standards AI-assisted writing must meet before it ships: factual accuracy, brand voice fidelity, originality, tone, structure, and the things AI consistently gets wrong.
Reviews, refines, and elevates AI-generated copy to a publishable standard; serves as the function's senior editorial judgment on AI-assisted output
Builds and maintains the brand voice translations that allow AI tools to produce copy that sounds like the brand and delivers on required legal & regulatory guidance.
Prompt Engineering & Playbook Development
Designs and maintains the skills, playbooks & workflows that scale AI-assisted writing capability across teams: brand voice prompts, channel-specific prompts, format-specific prompts, GEO-optimized prompts
Continuously refines prompts as models evolve and as the function learns what works
Workflow Integration
Partners with Content Operations & Production on integrating AI writing & input requirements into the brief-to-publish workflow — where it accelerates, where it requires human judgment, where it shouldn't be used at all.
Identify opportunities and current bottlenecks in process flows and across tools.
Partners with the Search & GEO Senior Manager on writing for generative engines: how to structure content so AI tools cite, summarize, and represent the brand accurately.
Brand Voice & Compliance Stewardship
Owns the AI writing layer's compliance with brand standards, factual accuracy requirements, and emerging regulatory and disclosure requirements around AI-generated content
Partners with legal and brand on the guardrails that protect the brand from AI-specific risks: hallucinations, voice drift, IP and copyright concerns, disclosure requirements
Capability Building & Enablement
Trains and enables the broader IC&M function on AI writing: when to use it, how to prompt well, what to review for, what good looks like
Builds the capability into the team rather than concentrating it in a single role
Cross-Functional Partnership
Day-to-day partner to Content Operations & Production, Social & Communities, the Search & GEO Senior Manager, brand teams, and the broader Marketing Systems & Enablement team on AI-assisted writing across formats — long-form content, social, scripts, product copy, email, briefs, and emerging content types
