AI Specialist

In this position, you contribute to the design, development and deployment of AI models and solutions across a wide range of business processes. You support experimentation and model optimisation, ensure accuracy and scalability, and help integrate AI capabilities into everyday workflows. Working closely with stakeholders, you deliver secure, reliable and high quality AI outcomes that strengthen Fugro’s digital capabilities. Your role 

• You build and train AI models using approved frameworks and datasets; 

• You optimize models for performance and scalability; 

• You validate outputs and ensure alignment with business requirements; 

• You prepare and clean data for modelling activities; 

• You integrate AI models into applications and workflows; 

• You maintain data lineage and documentation; 

• You ensure adherence to responsible AI principles and organisational policies; 

• You work with the NextGen AI Lead to prioritise tasks and deliverables; 

• You participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities; 

• You collaborate with data engineers, IT teams, innovation groups and business stakeholders. 

Your track record 

• You have a BSc degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field; 

• You have a minimum of 3 of years in AI model development and deployment; 

• You possess certifications in AWS or Azure AI Fundamentals; Python for Data Science; 

• You are proficient in Python and ML libraries, and you understand data preparation and feature engineering; 

• You have basic knowledge of MLOps and Cloud platforms; 

• You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
