Position Overview:
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support our Data Strategy & AI team. This role focuses on ad hoc data analysis to ensure the delivery of high-quality AI solutions. Please note this is not a Data Scientist role building AI models, it is a data exploration and preparation role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends and anomalies in a wide variety of smart buildings data -predominantly IoT time-series data, but not limited to this
- Use Python and SQL to support team decision-making, features definition and technology mapping
- Conduct data quality checks and data cleaning to ensure high quality data is available for building AI models
- Generate insights from data to inform product features and enhancements
- Create reports and dashboards based on specific business queries, using e.g., PowerBI
- Work closely with AI data scientists, engineers and product teams to understand analytical needs, translate requirements into data tasks and communicate findings effectively
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline data analysis
Required Skills:
- Min 3 years experience in hands-on data analysis.
- 4-6 years professional experience.
- Minimum basic understanding of AI technologies and data science principles.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Python and SQL for data analysis.
- Experience with statistical methods and data mining.
- Hands-on experience with PowerBI or similar.
- Excellent communication skills for bridging technical teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an AI or data-focused environment, and with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- Familiarity with IoT time-series data.
