In this role, you will build and operate the cloud-native foundations that power advanced image processing and model workflows, enabling product and research teams to move from idea to impact quickly, safely and at scale.
You will design, automate and run platforms using Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and modern CI/CD to remove bottlenecks and harden reliability. Your work will help our teams deliver faster with higher quality, unlocking insights that accelerate the development of life-changing medicines. Do you thrive on turning fragile, manual steps into elegant automation that others trust?
Accountabilities:
- Image Processing Platforms: Develop and maintain robust environments for high-performance image processing in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, ensuring reliability, scalability and security.
- Kubernetes Orchestration: Operate and optimize container orchestration, standardizing deployments and scaling services to meet demanding workloads.
- Cloud Infrastructure Automation: Define and implement automated infrastructure deployments in AWS, codifying environments for repeatability, speed and compliance.
- CI/CD at Scale: Shape and implement company-wide CI/CD practices and tooling to cut lead times, increase release frequency and improve recoverability.
- Architecture and Reliability: Contribute to future-state architectures that elevate availability, performance and operational efficiency across platforms.
- Product Collaboration: Work closely with product engineering to diagnose design issues, remove bottlenecks and eliminate manual configuration through automation.
- Tooling Ownership: Manage core automation toolchains, including configuration management, version control and build/release systems, keeping them secure and current.
- Engineering Evangelism: Educate and coach teams to adopt infrastructure-as-code and automation best practices, raising engineering standards across the organization.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience with utilizing cloud infrastructure and platform services (e.g AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Good knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python or shell scripts
- Linux administration
- Experience in configuration management and infrastructure automation systems, preferably Terraform
- Experience in version control systems, preferably Git
- Experience in CI/CD platforms (e.g. Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab)
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Practical experience it dealing with complex IT processes and applications
- Experience in handling self-managed or provided as a service (EKS, GKE) Kubernetes
- Good knowledge in IT networking
- Experience in monitoring tools and log management solutions (e.g Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk etc)
- Experience in case tracking system (e.g. Jira, Zendesk)
- Self-learner who'll seek and find knowledge needed for new concepts/solutions/technologies
- Strong communication skills on a technical and professional level as well as with service oriented
- Ability to organize self and others including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines
When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions. That's why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. But that doesn't mean we're not flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility. Join us in our unique and ambitious world.
