Please note - This role is remote with travel to Nashville as required for collaboration & meetings. For this reason, all candidates must be within approximately a 3 hour drive to be considered.
Cook Systems is building an AI-powered recruiting engine designed to revolutionize how we source and deliver talent. As our first AI Operator, you’ll be the critical link between Maayu (our AI recruiting partner), Greenhouse (our ATS), and client-specific job board platforms—actively supporting integration, data flow, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
This role is uniquely challenging, highly autonomous, and demands persistence. You’ll be navigating complex problems, thoroughly testing integrations, and proactively communicating with internal teams and external partners. Expect ambiguity and constant problem-solving. Success here means you’re tenacious, self-driven, and genuinely enjoy overcoming technical and operational roadblocks.

What You’ll Do- AI, ATS, and Job Board Integrations: Actively manage, test, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations between Maayu, Greenhouse, and external client job boards. Handle edge-cases, manual inputs, and scenarios where automated integration falls short.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Regularly interact with the external Maayu team to report issues, recommend enhancements, and provide operational feedback to continuously improve AI accuracy and performance.
- Operational Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (submittal-to-interview, interview-to-hire, recruiter productivity), creating clear dashboards or reports that pinpoint bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for streamlining recruiting workflows, data management, and integration processes. Suggest actionable solutions and help implement improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Work Autonomously & Navigate Ambiguity: Independently own your day-to-day work, manage priorities, and navigate complex scenarios without step-by-step guidance.
- Creative Problem Solver: You enjoy navigating roadblocks, impasses, and complex scenarios by proactively identifying solutions and alternatives.
- Tenacious Tester: You thoroughly test systems and integrations and persistently troubleshoot until problems are resolved—you’re driven by fixing things and making them work.
- AI & Technology Enthusiast: You have genuine interest and practical experience using AI-driven tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or similar large language models, particularly for workflow assistance or problem-solving.
- Systematic & Detail-Oriented: You naturally structure information clearly, manage complex data, and maintain organized processes—especially around ATS tools like Greenhouse (experience helpful but not mandatory).
- Strong Communicator: You’re comfortable communicating proactively and clearly with internal teams and external partners, escalating issues thoughtfully and accurately.
- Adaptive & Self-Reliant: You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and limited direct oversight.
- Bonus Experience: Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Airtable, etc.), browser automation platforms, or basic scripting and data management (JSON, Excel).
- The job will be genuinely challenging—expect ambiguity, rapidly evolving priorities, and complex problems without straightforward answers.
- You’ll regularly face operational, technical, and workflow issues requiring proactive problem-solving.
- Your role will evolve quickly as the AI recruiting system matures, and you must adapt flexibly.
- However, you’ll receive close support from leadership, external teams, and resources to help you succeed.
