The Role
We are seeking a professional to drive AI adoption and integration across Spendesk's internal operations. This hands-on, cross-functional position involves collaborating with business leaders and Revenue Operations team members to architect and execute AI-enhanced workflows, develop and deploy AI agents, and serve as the catalyst for comprehensive AI transformation at Spendesk while enabling all team members to embrace AI technologies. You will champion best practices, provide training programs, and support teams in scaling automation while maintaining a balance between innovation and robust governance. This central position requires deep engagement with specific team operations aligned with company priorities, while enabling others to champion AI adoption organization-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Implementation: Work alongside our senior leadership team to establish, prioritize, and execute Spendesk's internal AI productivity strategy.
- Direct AI Workflow Development & Deployment: Personally architect, prototype, and implement AI-enhanced solutions (including AI agents) alongside business, operations, and product teams. Directly set up, customize, and refine AI and no-code platforms (e.g., DUST, n8n, Cargo, Gemini, Modjo, Intercom) to resolve operational challenges.
- Analytics-Based Decision Making: Conduct analyses to pinpoint operational inefficiencies, automation potential, and growth opportunities enabled by internal AI implementation. Create actionable insights from data and user input, and define metrics to monitor adoption, process acceleration, and cost optimization.
- Training, Enablement & Adoption: Create and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and comprehensive documentation to develop team capabilities and promote AI proficiency. Act as an internal champion and guide, supporting employees in understanding and utilizing AI within their responsibilities.
- Governance, Security & Standards: Work with IT and security teams to ensure safe, compliant, and responsible AI tool deployment. Drive internal tool optimization through thorough assessment of constraints and improvement opportunities, reducing overlap and maintaining careful procurement practices for new solutions.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Manage cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution and evaluation, securing alignment and support throughout the process. Develop strong organizational relationships to gather input, resolve issues, and maximize business value.
Required skills and experience
- Implementation Experience: Background in building, setting up, and launching AI-powered workflows and automations using AI/no-code solutions (e.g., Dust, Cargo, n8n, cloud-based AI platforms), including API integration capabilities.
- Generative AI Knowledge: Strong grasp of generative AI technologies and their practical application to address genuine business requirements.
- Operations & Process Enhancement: Proven ability to spot inefficiencies and redesign processes with cross-functional teams; experience with project management and change implementation.
- Strategic & Analytical Capabilities: Skills in defining goals, establishing metrics, and converting complex challenges into practical solutions. Excellent communicator capable of simplifying technical topics, providing effective training, and establishing credibility with varied stakeholders.
- Governance, Security & Change Leadership: Experience with technology governance, security protocols, and privacy considerations, plus leading transformation in dynamic environments.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in (Revenue) Operations, Business Transformation, or technical positions, with clear impact on business operations - Strong hands-on background with AI tools, workflow automation, or digital transformation in business settings (e.g., Dust, Cargo, n8n, cloud-based AI platforms)
- Technical skills and strong AI interest
- Demonstrates strong appetite and expertise around APIs and automation between tools
- Background converting strategic goals into actionable operational plans and initiatives
- Capability to function independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a practical focus on delivering outcomes - Proficient in English & French
