As a Senior Backend Java Engineer at PALO IT, you will be pivotal in shaping the next wave of software innovation through the following responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications in Java (Java 8+) ensuring high availability.
Implement robust RESTful APIs with features like versioning, authentication, and documentation utilizing Swagger/OpenAPI.
Build microservices employing frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Jakarta EE.
Efficiently manage and integrate relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
Optimize data access through ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
Develop and implement unit tests and automated API tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, and Postman/Newman.
Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and secure development best practices (e.g., OWASP).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Collaborate in agile teams (Scrum) and participate actively in code reviews and pull request management.
Identify bottlenecks and optimize performance in production environments.
Communicate technical solutions and document APIs in English in an international setting.
You are a strong fit for this Senior Backend Java Engineer role if you have:
5+ years of experience in backend application development using Java.
Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Strong experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Jakarta EE.
Advanced knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL technologies.
In-depth experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JPA.
Proficiency in automated testing (unit and API testing).
Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and application security.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Advanced skills in Git and experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum).
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) for global collaboration.
