AI Native - Lead Architect

PALO IT France, fully dedicated to developing the Gen-e²™ methodology, is hiring an AI Native Lead Architect. The role involves leading high-impact, AI-driven engineering initiatives from discovery to delivery, requiring at least 10 years of experience in software architecture (Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular) and hands-on practice with generative AI (GitHub Copilot, OpenAI API, LangChain, Hugging Face). The role is based in Paris, remote friendly depending on the project.

Within PALO IT, you will use cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate development cycles and drive innovation. As a key team member, you will lead high-impact, AI-driven engineering initiatives from discovery through delivery. You will be responsible for technical excellence, team skills development, and client success, ensuring every project is aligned with the Gen-e² speed-to-impact model.

Technical leadership & architecture

• Define service scopes and reference architectures, aligned with SLOs, security policies, and cost-optimization goals.

• Drive engineering context (functional and technical) within the product repository, ensuring transparency and quality through automated PR templates and adherence to documentation standards.

• Conduct risk and threat analyses, balancing performance, privacy, sustainability, and security.

• Design and implement guardrails in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. anonymization of sensitive data, license verification, compliance gates) to guarantee enterprise-grade quality.

• Continuously improve key metrics related to energy efficiency, cloud costs, and system accessibility.

Collaborative engagement

• Facilitate collaboration with technical sponsors and product teams as a go-to technical expert.

• Take part in pitch phases, proofs of concept, and the development of the ecosystem and its artifacts.

Coaching & change facilitation

• Mentor and guide development teams, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the organization while ensuring delivery of technical development.

• Take part in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and improvement suggestions.

• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and assess their potential impact on business operations and team performance.

You're in the right place if:

• You're an experienced software architect and Tech Lead, recognized for your ability to embed AI-First methods into robust, scalable technical solutions.

• You have at least 10 years of experience in software architecture and development (Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular...) and AI, with a strong technical appetite and the ability to be hands-on.

• You have strong expertise in designing and scaling cloud-native applications or AI-First architectures.

• You have deep command of CI/CD processes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization technologies, and DevSecOps practices.

• You're familiar with UX-as-Code approaches and design-system thinking.

• You know how to support and mentor diverse teams in developing and implementing technical solutions.

• You're fluent in English with excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• You understand prompt engineering principles for optimal interaction with AI tools.

• You have strong knowledge of and curiosity about AI/ML technologies, including OpenAI API, LangChain, Hugging Face, and context engineering.

• You have critical, analytical thinking to validate and verify AI-generated code and solutions.

• You have an ongoing drive to learn and stay current with the fast-moving AI landscape.

Is the AI Native Lead Architect role remote or on-site? The role is remote friendly depending on the project: on-site days take place at clients' premises or at PALO IT's République office in Paris. Some missions may be fully on-site.

What AI tools does PALO IT use in software engineering? PALO IT uses GitHub Copilot in particular (at the core of the Gen-e²™ methodology), along with the OpenAI API, LangChain, and Hugging Face for its AI-First architectures.

How many years of experience are required for this role? At least 10 years of experience in software architecture and development (Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular or equivalent), with proven hands-on practice in generative AI.
