Your role and responsibilities:-
In this role, you will be serving as the software architect and defining the core technical stack for AI/ML solutions that focuses on improving productivity in India Operation Center(INOPC). You will also be bringing strategic focus on converting ideas into workable technology solutions applying domain / engineering knowledge and ability to demonstrate business value to stakeholders.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid
This role is contributing to the India Operation Center(INOPC) business in Automation business area based out in Bangalore
You will be mainly accountable for:-

  • Conceptualizing and defining architecture, technology stacks, and resilient architectural blueprints for complex AI/ML platforms and system-of-systems solutions, aligned with the ABBy framework, stakeholder requirements, domain understanding, and evolving AI/ML technologies.

  • Acting as the key decision authority for architecture sign-offs by making high-level design choices, defining technical standards, and guiding the selection of appropriate application stacks, databases, libraries, frameworks, and technology standards.

  • Driving software architectural integrity by defining, influencing, and ensuring adoption of architectural patterns, standards, and processes across ABB frameworks and solution development, including management of external system integrations and defining bounded application contexts.

  • Accountable for end-to-end system/platform features from concept, architecture, and design through deployment, while ensuring delivery of user-friendly, value-driven software solutions through continuous delivery, stakeholder feedback, and strong customer-centricity and service excellence.

  • Ensuring compliance with ABB integrity, data privacy, GDPR, and safety standards, while mentoring and guiding software architects, technical leads, and architects on architectural reviews, evaluations, best practices, and issue resolution.

Qualifications for the role:-

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in software technology and engineering roles, preferably in Architecture side.

  • Strong expertise in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Computer Science fundamentals.

  • Hands-on experience with modern Programming Languages and software development practices.

  • Good understanding of AI / ML technologies and their industrial applications.

  • Proven understanding of the Automation domain, customer segments, and related business needs, prior experience within ABB and exposure to Project Management practices will be preferred.
