AI/ML Engineer - MCP Platform Development

Remote
looking for a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to design and build a multi-host, high-availability MCP Server. This role focuses on scalable, secure, and compliant AI/ML solutions in healthcare.
Responsibilities

Design MCP templates using Anthropic MCP SDK (or equivalent).
Develop MCP Search and hybrid retrieval pipelines across vector/non-vector databases.
Build parameterized RAG templates and integrate domain tools.
Implement authentication, authorization, and Mayo IAM integration.
Ensure PHI compliance, safety filters, caching, and monitoring.
Deliver API documentation, versioning, and deployment templates.
Collaborate with teams to meet availability SLAs and production readiness.

Requirements

Strong background in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain).
Experience with vector databases and RAG.
Proficiency in distributed systems, cloud platforms, Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security protocols, IAM, HIPAA/GDPR compliance.
Hands-on experience with API design, monitoring, and logging tools.

Preferred

Experience with multi-host HA systems.
Exposure to Apigee, API gateways, enterprise integration.
Background in healthcare data compliance and audit logging.

The pay range for this role is $100k - $130k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
